This is SO not fair. Meridian, Idaho spent almost $4,500 for a free movie night for their citizens. Okay, it’s not really free, they are still paying for it, but you must admit the idea is novel. Here in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho we pay for siding, brick work, and streetside banners we never see. Granted, a free movie night may rob local theaters of revenue, but I doubt if Regal Cinemas will hurt much. After all, local gyms are still, I believe, making it after the Kroc Center hit town, which taxpayers paid/pay for and users pay for again. I mean, really, a free movie might get me something for my money. Maybe, Ben the Drunken Poet could open before the movie?

I want a free movie night, too!
